Who is Stardog?

Erika Slovikoski, CPDT-KA

Erika is a highly accomplished dog trainer with over a decade of experience helping San Francisco dogs and their people. 

Erika has multiple accreditations specific to dog training including:  

  • CPDT-KA
  • Canine Behavior Academy 2010
  • SF SPCA Dog Training Internship Program 2011  

 She teaches agility, tricks and specialty classes at Ace Dog Sports and is an AKC CGC & Trick Title evaluator. Erika has experience in multiple areas surrounding dog behavior & welfare including shelter management, behavior evaluations & shelter dog enrichment with Give a Dog a Bone – the custody program at SF Animal Care & Control. Her interests include reactivity prevention, basic training, fun tricks, sports foundations and nose work. Her emphasis is on compassion and fun for both dog and handler, to develop a team dynamic with fun as part of the solid foundation. Erika focuses on the use of reward-based, positive reinforcement training. 

 When Erika isn’t helping San Francisco’s dogs and their owners, she is training her own pint-sized, powerhouse of a dog, Orion (RATI, RATM, TKP) – an11 year old, 20 pound All-American (badass) mix. Erika and Orion have earned AKC trick titles & Barn Hunt titles, and trained in Urban Locating, Agility & Flyball. Orion trained with the Marin Running Riot Flyball team as well as Ace Dog Sports.

 Erika’s young dog Crimes is a one year old Border x Borderpap sporty mix who is currently working on all his tricks and sports foundations. He’s a 40 pound powerhouse and loves running fast and biting toys.

Erika’s previous dog, Loba –  a Sable German Shepherd – was a graduate of Reactive Rover 1 & 2, trained for years in NACSW Nose Work, and also worked with Dr. Amy Cook to develop social play to address her environmental reactivity.
